This article introduces methods for evaluating cell activity. The ability to use cells in experiments is largely due to advancements in cell culture techniques and the establishment of cell lines, which are the results of research conducted from the early to mid-20th century. The culture medium began with isotonic solutions (physiological saline, 0.9 w/v% sodium chloride solution), followed by the development of Ringer's solution, the use of serum-supplemented media, and the detachment of adherent cells using trypsin.
